Building a seasonal rug collection in two weeks

A step-by-step workflow for moving from trend research to a coherent, sample-ready collection.

Seasonal collections live or die by coherence. Each piece should stand on its own, yet the range should feel like a family. Here is a workflow our customers use to compress weeks of development into days.

Days 1–2: Define the story

Collect references, set a palette of six to eight colors and write a one-paragraph brief for the collection. Lock the palette in your workspace before you generate anything.

Days 3–6: Explore widely

Generate broadly across two or three style directions. Aim for quantity at this stage and resist refining too early.

Days 7–10: Select and refine

Choose hero designs, then refine borders, medallions and scale. Generate companion pieces and runners from each hero.

Days 11–14: Colorways and export

Produce colorways within your palette, review with sales and export production files for sampling.
